Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving day is always a run around day, but we enjoy being able to see all our family and friends!! In the rush, I admit, I forget to take pictures. This year I really wanted some family ones and even bought us all matching outfits! That didn't really work out the way I had planned. But the weekend was a success! The drive home, however, was horrible!!! It took us about 6 1/2 hours to make the usual 4 hour venture! The snow, rain, sleet, wind made road conditions awful, we saw at least 35 cars spun off the road, and then were stopped bumper to bumper in Cedar City! But about 15 miles from our exit, the roads were clear, you could see the stars in the sky, and we were grateful to be home in our beautiful desert!

She loves her Grandpa Tolman!

Our attempt at a family picture! Ha Ha Ha
didn't really work!
BYU vs Utah game! True Ute fans!
The snow started as we left, and we thought we would test out the winter coat
(only time she wore it!)
Not quite sure about it.
Uh, Mom what are you doing?
Ha Ha Ha I just think it is so funny that she hated being in the snow!
Don't worry little one, you won't see much more of that!

Christmas

As Alivia's first Christmas, I really wanted to make sure she experienced all that Christmas is about. But, like so many told me, she cared more about the ribbon than the presents! But she was able to spend some great quality time with our families and she loved that!!!! So I guess we all enjoyed Christmas the way it was meant to be...with those we love close by:)

For those who think the snow only falls in Salt Lake!
But it did melt the next day and we were able to go shopping in
another 65 degree day!!

New years!

For New Years 2011, we had the Rodgers clan down to stay and play at our house! We had the best time!!! Played games, ate yummy food, enjoyed our prizes which included puzzles, paint by numbers, silly putty, and fiddle faddle!

What we are up to this Fall

Our first fall down in St. George has been, so far, fantastic! It's still about 70 degrees during the day, and the heater has only turned on twice. We are looking forward to more great times and good weather through the winter. To kick off the holidays, we dressed Alivia up and took her to Staheli's Farm to see the animals and the pumpkin patch. This is a real farm with lots of cows and even more cow pies! It stunk!! But we got some great pictures.

Love those chubby legs

Our little Lady Bug

So I decided to take Ali to the park and try my hand at photography.
I think I did pretty well, but it is easy when your
subject is so adorable!!!

So Sweet!

I just love this one! She saw the maintenance guy with his leaf blower
and couldn't take her eyes off him.

Gotta love green grass and blue skies in November.

A Little Bit of Fall

Well it has been a little while since my last post...... So here are some quick little updates.
Bryan's sister Whitney got MARRIED!!! It was a fantastic day with family and friends and we loved having an extended visit to Salt Lake. Back in good ol' St. George, Bryan is still loving his job! It provides a fair amount of challenges, which he is pleased about, and he continues to work very hard. Which provides me with a lovely lifestyle: the stay at home, maybe get a shower, chase my child all day, MOM. I honestly do love that I can stay at home with Alivia and watch her change and grow and learn everyday. She is crawling up a storm these days, and pulling herself up to standing on everything!!! We still haven't quite got everything baby proofed, but as long as we keep all doors shut and small things off the floor, she seems to be ok. She loves to explore and it is so fun to watch her figure new things out, like the springy door stop in the hall that makes a fun sound. She still loves to eat(she might be tiny but the girl can pack it away), and jump and read books. Her Blankie is still her go to item, and it is already starting to fall apart! I got online and luckily found one just like hers and ordered another one. It should arrive any day now. Hopefully she won't know the difference(fingers crossed).

My baby girl is 6 months old today!!!!

I can't believe half of a year has gone by already! I definitely feel like it is almost bitter sweet. On the one hand it is exciting that she is getting bigger, learning, but she is not my little tiny baby any more. It is just a reminder of how fleeting life is and that it is so important to make everyday count. It has been such a challenging, emotional, but mostly wonderful experience. I couldn't imagine what my life would be like with out my little angel by my side, and I feel so lucky and blessed that I am able to stay home and be a mom everyday.

Here are a few things about my big girl:

Alivia Brooke(aka)

-Ali Belle, Ali Bug, Love Bug, Bug, Princess, Little Girl, Little One, Angel

Alivia. . .

Loves her toes, mommy's cell phone, the t.v. remotes, empty water bottles, and Johnny Jump Up. She can't be with out her BLANKI!!! I need to get another one for when it is in the wash and she wont nap unless she has it. Alivia is sitting up all on her own and loves to hang out with all of her toys around her on the floor. She is getting pretty good at standing, with a little assistance, will sometimes take a few little, wobbly steps. She is now eating foods, and will eat anything I give her! So far she has had rice cereal, peas, sweet potatoes, bananas, and apple sauce.

The only thing that gets her upset is when she doesn't get attention when she wants it. I guess being with mom all the time is making her a little spoiled. We will work on that.

I have the best, sweetest, and happiest baby and I love being her momma!!
