So my daughters new favorite thing is to dump everything out of the toy basket and then climb into it. She will sit in it and play forever!! I just get such a kick out of it. Here are some just some of the moments I have captured.

Alivia's 1st Birthday!
Look who turned 1!!!! On February 10th, my sweet baby turned a year old!!! I can not believe how fast this year has flown by. We were fortunate enough to be in Salt Lake for the weekend and Bryan's parents graciously let us hold Alivia's party in their home. We feel so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family who cam from all over to support our little family. And Alivia sure did get spoiled!! Lots of toys and clothes and most importantly the cake!
I don't feed her sweets, so this was a whole new thing for her. She started off by just licking the frosting, but after some coaxing, she dug right in!
Good thing she had lots of help with her toys. Her friend Nahla was so cute
and just wanted to see everything Alivia got.
and just wanted to see everything Alivia got.
1 year old
-2 teeth
-Walks, practically runs, everywhere
-Eats everything, but loves fruit snacks, string cheese, and blueberries
-Says "Hi" and "Bye Bye" and waves
-Brings mom her binkie and blankie when it is bed time
-Still loves reading her books and playing with puzzles
-Loves rocks!
-Just started shaking her head when anyone says NO!
Alivia has truly been the biggest blessing in our lives and we love watching her learn and grow everyday. I feel very fortunate to be able to be home with her and watch all the silly things she does. It's crazy how such a tiny little person can have such a huge presence in a home and in your life! She is my big "little" girl and I love that she calls me and that I am her "mommy!"

Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving day is always a run around day, but we enjoy being able to see all our family and friends!! In the rush, I admit, I forget to take pictures. This year I really wanted some family ones and even bought us all matching outfits! That didn't really work out the way I had planned. But the weekend was a success! The drive home, however, was horrible!!! It took us about 6 1/2 hours to make the usual 4 hour venture! The snow, rain, sleet, wind made road conditions awful, we saw at least 35 cars spun off the road, and then were stopped bumper to bumper in Cedar City! But about 15 miles from our exit, the roads were clear, you could see the stars in the sky, and we were grateful to be home in our beautiful desert!
Christmas
As Alivia's first Christmas, I really wanted to make sure she experienced all that Christmas is about. But, like so many told me, she cared more about the ribbon than the presents! But she was able to spend some great quality time with our families and she loved that!!!! So I guess we all enjoyed Christmas the way it was meant to be...with those we love close by:)
For those who think the snow only falls in Salt Lake!
But it did melt the next day and we were able to go shopping in
another 65 degree day!!
Handsome Boys!
Grandpa and Nana Rodgers
She loves her Auntie Whitney

New years!
For New Years 2011, we had the Rodgers clan down to stay and play at our house! We had the best time!!! Played games, ate yummy food, enjoyed our prizes which included puzzles, paint by numbers, silly putty, and fiddle faddle!
